If you look online you will find that there are hundreds of different account manager roles. This is because the role can be applied to most industries and sectors.
An account manager’s main concern is the customer and they communicate and negotiate with customers on a daily basis. They provide support to the customer and must constantly check that they are happy with the work that is being done. They must be around as much as possible because they are the main point of contact between the company and the client.
The key skill here is to develop a good relationship with the client over time. They need to be able to trust the account manager and feel that they can ask them questions when required.
